AED Announces 2019 Class of Fellows

Newswise — Reston, VA, March 18, 2019 – The Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) is proud to announce its 2019 Class of Fellows. Each year, AED confers Fellow honors during its Annual Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony, held this year at the Sheraton Times Square in New York, NY on Saturday, March 16, 2019, beginning at 8:00AM.

The AED awards Fellow status to recognize distinguished contributions made by AED members to the field of eating disorders, reflecting a diversity of distinguished contributions to the field, and the interdisciplinary and international composition of the AED's membership.

The status of Fellow in the Academy for Eating Disorders (FAED) indicates that the qualifications and body of work of the person have elevated them to national and/or international recognition as a distinguished contributor to the field of eating disorders. In virtually all instances "distinguished" refers to a combination of the achievement of excellence and significant contributions deserving of recognition as extraordinary. The contributions of the person conferred with Fellow status are demonstrably unusual, innovative, and/or of a groundbreaking nature.

The AED 2019 Class of Fellows includes:

Leslie K. Anderson, PhD, FAED

Ellen Astrachan-Fletcher, PhD, FAED

Jessica H. Baker, PhD, FAED

Jerel Calzo, PhD, MPH, FAED
